East Ringwood Cricket Club

east-ringwood-cricket-club-logoThe East Ringwood Cricket Club was formed in 1926 and has occupied the East Ringwood Reserve ever since.

Many changes and developments have taken place over the years – a successful amalgamation with the Bedford Ringwood High School Club in 1975 is one of the most significant.

The club exists to provide members of the community with an opportunity to involve themselves in a healthy team and club environment and to foster the development of young people as excellent citizens both on and off the field. Cricket is an international game that helps to break down the often artificial barriers between countries, races and religions. It is a game characterised by mutual respect and good sportsmanship.

The club is fortunate to have facilities which are second to none in the eastern suburbs.
We field five senior and five junior teams in the Ringwood and District Cricket Association, which is the largest suburban competition in Victoria and features 26 clubs and thousands of players of all ages and abilities. We also field a very successful veterans team which plays every second Sunday.

East Ringwood CC is proud of its history, which includes 38 senior and 16 junior premierships, the most recent being the Wilkins Cup Premiership in 2009/10. We are also proud of the culture of friendship we foster and the warm inclusion of families who wish to become part of our community. A wide range of social events is held each season while a small group of dedicated volunteers ensures the smooth operation of this outstanding local cricket club.
